Using three years of Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System (PRAMS) data, this CHI analysis compares women enrolled in CHP+ with all other women who had recently given birth. The analysis focused on the source of prenatal care; weight gain during pregnancy; the percentage of infants with a birth weight of less than 5 pounds 8 ounces; and the proportion of women who smoked during the three months prior to becoming pregnant and during the last three months of their pregnancy.
