Can You Guess Colorado’s New Uninsured Rate?

It’s been quite the year so far, and the excitement just keeps on going. CHI is releasing the 2017 Colorado Health Access Survey (CHAS) results on September 19 and speculation about the uninsured rate is ramping up!

The 2015 results showed an all-time high rate of insured Coloradans following implementation of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) — but will it stay there?

Has Colorado hit its peak rate of insurance? Or, as some have wondered, will progress backslide due to rising premium costs and the uncertainty around health reform efforts? Perhaps the insured rate has improved even further this year, given Colorado’s booming economy and growing population.

Whatever you think is most likely, let us know by sending your guess for Colorado’s uninsured rate for 2017 to chas@coloradohealthinstitute.org for a chance to win an iPad! (One entry per person, please. No fair submitting multiple guesses.)

Entries must be received by no later than Thursday, September 14, to be considered.

Survey results — and the winning contest entry — will be released to the public on September 19. You can be among the first to see the results in person. CHI’s staff is fanning out across the state, from Craig to Lamar, to bring the survey to Coloradans no matter where they are.

Have you signed up to be one of the first to hear the full 2017 results? If not, sign up for one of our 15 locations before September 8.
