Kevin Patterson

Kevin Patterson is CEO of Connect for Health Colorado, the state’s health insurance marketplace. He has a broad background as a public servant. He was previously Chief Administrative Officer and Interim Chief of Staff to Governor John Hickenlooper and served as Interim Executive Director for three state agencies during periods of leadership transition. He also has experience in local government, holding leadership roles in several departments at the City and County of Denver.  

Kevin serves on the Leadership Council of the Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance, the Policy and Advocacy subcommittee of the Rose Community Foundation, and the boards of the Keystone Policy Center and Mile High United Way. In 2020, he was named one of the Denver Business Journal’s Most Admired CEOs. He was elected to the Board of Education for Denver Public Schools in 2001 and 2005.

He earned a Master of Public Administration and a Master of Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Colorado Denver. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in teaching from Sam Houston State University.
