Patrick Thompson joined the Colorado Health Institute in July 2022 as a Research Analyst. His work includes convening and engaging stakeholders, conducting community health needs assessments, and qualitative and quantitative analysis and support.

Patrick's work experience spans all levels of government. As a Recruiting Consultant with Serve Colorado, a program within the Office of Lieutenant Governor Dianne Primavera, he created a data-informed recruiting plan for AmeriCorps Colorado grantees and researched workforce development policies and procedures that led to recommendations for an alumni-to-employee pipeline. Prior research and program management positions with the South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Research Service, the USDA Forest Service, and military service in the U.S. Navy round out his 10 years' of experience in the public sector.

Patrick earned a BA in integrated marketing communication from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh and recently completed an MPA with a concentration in local government from the School of Public Affairs at the University of Colorado Denver.

Outside the office, Patrick enjoys Legos, biking, reading, cooking, and skiing.
