In 2009, Colorado had more than 4,400 active licensed pharmacists, up from 4,000 in 2005, according to data from the Department of Regulatory Agencies, posted on the CHI Web data center.

CHI's survey of licensed practical nurses in Colorado found that few LPNs were pursuing further education and most had no plans to do so. Other findings centered on demographics, workplace, training, salary and other related issues.

Almost half of community pharmacists (42%) surveyed in 2008 offered additional clinical and educational services to local residents including blood pressure checks, cholesterol and osteoporosis screenings, diabetes counseling and immunizations.
