This 16-page report includes a series of maps showing where Medicaid and CHP+ children live relative to primary care providers. It was created at the request of the Colorado Children’s Healthcare Access Program (CCHAP), which was conducting a needs assessment and strategic planning process to determine where to focus its efforts with respect to Medicaid and CHP+ private provider recruitment. The analysis was broken down by geographic regions of the state, grouped by Health Statistics Regions.
The report includes a table that breaks down county-level practices, percentage of the population below 200 percent of the federal poverty line, and the total number of children enrolled in Medicaid and CHP+. All data were from 2008.
