What do Todd Park, Katie Couric, Francis Collins and Cookie Monster Have in Common?
3.29.2012 | by: Emily King
Todd Park, chief technology officer at the White House. Francis Collins, director of the National Institutes of Health. Thomas Frieden, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Katie Couric, special correspondent to ABC News. Cookie Monster, frenzied-but-cuddly monster of Sesame Street fame.
What do these individuals all have in common? They’re coming to CHI from April 10 through April13! (Sort of.)
Park, Couric, Frieden, Collins and Cookie Monster —along with dozens of other thought leaders in the health field—will be speaking at the TEDMED 2012 conference in Washington, D.C. CHI is lucky to be one of the 100 sites allowed to Simulcast the event, which means we’ll be live-streaming sessions of the conference in real-time.
TEDMED, according to its web site, explores the issues, challenges, and innovations that will help shape the future of health and medicine for 300 million Americans – and the world. Each year, TEDMED conducts a “grand gathering” where leaders from all sectors of society come together to explore the promise of technology and the potential of human achievement. Learn more about TEDMED here, or watch this video.
We’re opening up a limited number of seats to “friends and family” of CHI. (And yes, loyal Analysis with Altitude reader, you count!) CHI will provide snacks and a place to watch the presentations. The event takes place over four days, and you’re welcome to drop by for whatever part your schedule allows. All we’re asking is that you RSVP at this link.
There are ten TEDMED sessions, and you can view the schedule here. The exact speaker schedule will be available approximately one week before the event. Each session has between four and six presentations that last about 10 to 15 minutes. You’ll be able to submit questions to the speakers in real-time.
Questions? Call or email us. We’ll see you in April!
