There are two different types of searches available for the Colorado Health
Institute web site.
The first uses simple keyword searching of preformatted documents including
HTML, Microsoft Word, Adobe PDF, Microsoft PowerPoint, etc... Click
here
to see a complete list of supported documents.
To use this search, type in a phrase or set of keywords. This search supports
quick simple searches as well as ANY/ALL/EXACT selections, +, -, and advanced
Boolean expressions. Click

for a complete description of the supported search syntax.
The second type of search looks at database elements specific to the Colorado
Health Institute data resources. All items in the databases have been
cross-referenced with public access search points. These search points include
topic, location, age group, gender, and ethnic group.
To use this search, first select a topic of interest. If you select additional
search points, then the result set is restricted based on a boolean AND operation.
For example, if you select the topic "Maternal and Child Health", the location
"Boulder County", and the age group "0 to 4", then the result set will reflect
all resource items corresponding to the topic "Maternal and Child Health" ONLY
in "Boulder County" AND only for the age group "0 to 4".
