Jessica Waclawski joined CHI as a research fellow in 2007 and became a research assistant in 2008. Her work focuses on the Collaborative Scopes of Care Project, Colorado Health Report Card and the state’s health care safety net. During her time at CHI, she has developed a new Web publication, Faces of the Safety Net, featuring the stories of safety net providers throughout the state.
Before coming to CHI, Jessica attended The Colorado College and graduated with a major in medical anthropology and a minor in African Studies. She completed a senior thesis after spending six weeks in Senegal examining the relationship between modern and traditional medical practices to understand how the Senegalese receive their health care. She also spent a semester studying media and culture in Sydney, Australia.
