Michele Christiansen
Operations Manager

Michele Christiansen joined the Colorado Health Institute in September 2003 as the president and CEO’s first hire. As the first hire, Michele was responsible for developing and implementing the fiscal management and human resource systems. Currently she oversees a $1.8 million budget and manages 10 grant specific budgets. Additional responsibilities include benefits administration, development and implementation of personnel and employment policies and procedures, and monitoring of consultant contracts.

Prior to CHI, Michele worked in the marketing departments of Rothberg, Tamburini, & Winsor and Best Buy Corp. At Rothberg, Tamburini & Winsor, an environmental engineering firm, Michele coordinated external classes, developed marketing collateral and oversaw product sales. At Best Buy Corp, she successfully managed a $300 million business category and was in charge of inventory in 420 stores and 18 warehouses.

Michele holds a B.S. in international business and marketing with a minor in Spanish from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management. She has over 10 years of business management and marketing experience. Additionally, Michele serves as treasurer of the Colorado Conservation Voters Board and is an active member of the Westminster Environmental Advisory Board.
