Provides opportunities for affordable and convenient continuing education to enhance the attractiveness of careers in health centers and strengthen health center organizations through access to current best practices. Implemented in March 2004 in response to a tele-education needs assessment of Region VIII community health centers that indicated a high interest in Web-based distance learning opportunities. Webcasts are available for continuing medical education credit and are offered in archived versions for one year past the live event date.

Major accomplishments:

More than 1,000 participants have attended CHAMPS Webcasts since August 2008, including not only staff and board members of Region VIII health centers, but also other primary care providers in the region and from across the nation.
