High school students are provided up to 10 contact hours within an area of professional interest. They meet with professionals in the track of study that is most interesting to them to learn about skills needed to be successful, career paths common in the industry and hands-on experience doing work typical of that profession.

We will screen healthcare interested students through the SPHERES exam, survey each student regarding whether they still intend to enter that profession after this experience and work to align them with local higher education institutions offering instruction in their chosen area.

Major accomplishments:

Largely based on the experiences with students and business profesionals attempting to address the workforce pipeline issues for healthcare, ACEC has been named the convener of grant awards to help address the workforce bottleneck in healthcare.
