Over the past year, the Colorado Health Institute (CHI) has produced various estimates of the health insurance status of Colorado’s children. This issue brief uses the U.S. Census Bureau’s 2008 American Community Survey (ACS) data to examine:
- The insurance status of children in Colorado in 2008 based on family income and citizenship/documentation status
- State and county estimates of uninsured Colorado children who were eligible for Medicaid and CHP+ and not enrolled
- Medicaid and CHP+ enrollment rates by county
