Projects and Convenings: Center for the Study of the Safety Net

Faces of the Safety Net

Going beyond the numbers and the tables of data, CHI is getting personal with Colorado’s safety net. By visiting a variety of clinics throughout the state, CHI hopes to give the public a better perspective of their neighborhood health care systems. The "Faces of the Safety Net" series attempts to describe the environment of these clinics by telling their unique stories. CHI hopes to strengthen awareness of the services these clinics provide, the struggles they encounter and the hurdles they overcome every day as they care for patients who may have otherwise slipped through the cracks.
