Kathy Helm joined the Colorado Health Institute (CHI) in April 2005. She provides administrative support for all staff, manages the library resources and the growing contact database as well as all office machines. She works as executive support for the President/CEO, managing correspondence and scheduling. Kathy is instrumental in the planning and coordination of CHI’s bi-annual Safety Net Symposium, legislative roundtables, Hot Issues in Health Care luncheons and other meetings.

Before joining CHI, Kathy worked as a senior staff assistant in the Health Program at the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL), a bi-partisan organization that provides research and technical assistance to state legislators and legislative staff across the country. Some of her duties included gathering and compiling department status reports, updating health directories for the state legislator health committees, and assisting with logistics for program meetings.

Kathy is a Colorado native. She is married with two children and two grandchildren. She enjoys time with her family and working on cross stitching projects.
